I know what this looks like, but I have yet to be convinced this beastie really is the spirit of a chokidai. I am more inclined to believe it is a spirit that has taken the form of a chokidai. Why would it do so, you ask? Seemingly, to strike bowel-loosening terror in the living! But enough about what happened when I first laid eyes upon it.
