It is said it is possible to be born with characteristics of a long past ancestor.
For some reason, an ancestor of mine was born with the undamaged mind of the high elf kind we came from. This strange event passed on through every decendant of that line.
I am a decendant of that line. My skin may be dark, but my mind is untarnished.
The sins of the other dark skinned ones have weighed heavy on my line, and Forever we will strive to right their wrongs.
