Lurking Terror
Some beasties use camouflage to hide from hunters. Others use it to hunt more effectively. This isn't one of them hiders, it's a hunter. The attractive purple crystal that adorns this crustaceous critter was found in its environment, while still in the larval stage of development, and affixed. It buries all of its fleshy bug-like body, while the ornamental bit stays above ground, waiting for the slightest vibration to trigger it to strike!
